Variable Physical Structure

For CS 560 Advanced Animation and Modeling, I designed a system with a variable number of boxes and springs. The structure responds physically as the user moves its anchor points, allowing the simulation to deform and settle rather than following a fixed animation.

Potential Applications

The same approach could be integrated into larger physical systems, including bridges or suspended structures whose endpoints move during play. Additional forces such as wind could also be layered into the simulation to produce more complex environmental behavior.
